End of Year Review

Somehow six months have slipped by without a single post. It isn't that I've disappeared completely, I have just spent some time focusing on some goals I had set for myself. I've spent the last few months seeking publication for some picture books I have written. I wish this was a post announcing that it had all paid off! But... the search continues...and that's okay!

Have I had countless rejections? Yes!

Have the majority of submissions been ghosted by the publishers? You Bet!

Have I felt discouraged? UH...YEAH.

Am I giving up? Nope.

I've been rejected this year...A LOT. But along with some of those rejections came constructive criticism and along with it, tiny glimmers of hope for me. It's a process, I get it. And it is only in the journey that we learn anything, so this is the most important time for me, right? I am sitting in a well of knowledge as we speak.

Dreams that turn into goals only become reality if you set about with focused action. Taking steps each day towards your goal is the only way to achieve anything.

So I will keep chipping away at these dreams of mine, because you just never know!
